PTSD/Trauma

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a severe and often disabling disorder that develops after exposure to a traumatic event. PTSD is characterized by the following:

  • Intrusive thoughts
  • Flashbacks of the trauma
  • Nightmares
  • Hypervigilance
  • Avoidance of places or things that resemble the event
  • Sleep disturbance

How do you treat PTSD/Trauma?

An effective PTSD treatment includes psychotherapies, medications, and treating the co-occurring conditions. If not treated, PTSD can lead to remarkable occupational, social, and interpersonal dysfunction. At Quality Psychiatry Health and Wellness, we have in-person and telehealth treatment for PTSD. Initial assessments may take up to 90 minutes to discuss your history thoroughly and allow you time to have your questions answered. We are here to help.
